>Forgive me for swearing. I should not have
>done that. It is not Christian to do so. I
>don’t like when others do so to me, and I
>don’t like that I did so to you.

I accept your apology, though it's entirely unnecessary. You said what you meant. I said what I meant. That's what we do here.

>I wanted to tell you I posted to your sight
>because you had spoken of Satanic Ritual
>Abuse, and I found that on a search engine
>of blogs...
>I suppose most of all I simply wish you
>would not make fun of something in light
>conversation that isn’t fun or happy at all.
>It is all too real, and very horrible.
>When educated people such as yourself say
>something very intelligent, but wrong, about
>this subject, it misleads many.

Just to set the record straight (and maybe clarify this for future visitors): I've never raised the topic of Satanic Ritual Abuse on my site. I made an <a href="http://amphichon.com/2006/05/12/ritualistic-murder-not-just-for-satanists-anymore/" rel="nofollow">offhand remark about Satanic ritualistic murder (not the same as SRA), in response to an article about a priest who murderd a nun and tried to make the murder look like a Satanic ritual</a>. Unfortunately, this drew the attention of another misguided soul who, much like you, simply didn't get it. As a professed Satanist he felt it necessary to defend Satanism against my unfounded accusations, and it was he who brought up Satanic Ritual Abuse. (Yes, dear readers, I am aware that by typing this phrase repeatedly I am only inviting more Google hits and most likely more comments from wingnuts, but c'mon, at least it's mildly entertaining.) I responded to his accusations with <a href="http://amphichon.com/2006/05/27/for-the-people-who-dont-get-it-file/">a quick post that was entirely flippant</a> and obviously intended to dismiss him as what we in the business refer to as a "fucknut". (He continued to reply after that, but as he was starting to get tedious, I didn't see any point in posting his further comments.) My point is simply that I didn't bring it up, I never intended to discuss it, and never professed to be any sort of authority on the subject.

You wish I wouldn't make fun of something that isn't fun or happy at all. Unfortunately, so many things in life are not fun or happy at all, and yet it's necessary that we deal with them. Some folks (including myself) find it easier to deal with these unpleasant facts of life if we wrap them in a bit of humor to make them more palatable. I expect you do the same yourself. As a public service to anyone who happens to run across this entry while researching Satanic Ritual Abuse, though, let me offer the following links to site that legitimately address the issue:

<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanic_ritual_abuse" rel="nofollow">Wikipedia's entry on SRA</a>
<a href="http://www.religioustolerance.org/sra.htm">Discussion of SRA on religioustolerance.org</a>
<a href="http://dmoz.org/Health/Mental_Health/Psychological_Abuse/" rel="nofollow">an Open Directory index of general abuse support and recovery links</a>

And though I don't really care much for your site myself, I've left the site link in your second comment here unmolested, so anyone who's really interested in pursuing this further with you need only click there to visit you.

>...Please forgive me for responding the
>wrong way. I would ask you to please
>research a topic like this before you make
>fun of mental illness or severe child abuse
>in an offhand manner…I could tell you a lot
>about this subject, if you really want to
>know about it. It’s quite sad.

I make fun of a lot of things here on my site, and it's entirely likely that those things will at one point or another include mental illness or child abuse. You're right that there's not much funny about those things, though, so mostly I'll be discussing other things. (You never know though; here at amphichon we're not exactly noted for our political correctness or good taste.) Please understand though that I have always poked fun at, and will continue to poke fun at, people who just don't get it, and those people who show up randomly here, misinterpret one of my posts, and leave comments that demonstrate a lack of understanding (or worse, a lack of understanding *and* the promotion of their own agenda) will continue to be mercilessly mocked. I also have a pretty strong aversion to organized religion, so people who show up professing to be devotees of Jesus, Satan, Hiawatha, the Loch Ness Monster, and so forth, and who then proceed to give me random shit about things, can expect to be singled out for ire. I can promise though that if I ever do choose to seriously address topics like SRA or child abuse in general, I will research them as completely as I would any other serious topic, and will fairly present all sides of the issue, as long as I agree with them.

Forgive me for swearing. I should not have done that. It is not Christian to do so. I don't like when others do so to me, and I don't like that I did so to you.

I wanted to tell you I posted to your sight because you had spoken of Satanic Ritual Abuse, and I found that on a search engine of blogs.

I was researching the internet trying to find survivors and other pertinent information. But what I found more than anything else was a huge number of people who know nothing about Satanic Ritual Abuse, acting as if they did, and mostly scoffing at it, without knowledge.

I suppose most of all I simply wish you would not make fun of something in light conversation that isn't fun or happy at all. It is all too real, and very horrible.

When educated people such as yourself say something very intelligent, but wrong, about this subject, it misleads many.

I'm sorry I invaded your website, which I realize is dedicated to other material. My initial reaction Thursday night when I found so many lies online about SRA was outrage. I could not believe how many lies were printed everywhere about it. I reacted humanly, but wrongly.

Please forgive me for responding the wrong way. I would ask you to please research a topic like this before you make fun of mental illness or severe child abuse in an offhand manner...I could tell you a lot about this subject, if you really want to know about it. It's quite sad.

>Why do you make fun of what I wrote? You
>don’t even know me.

Good point Steve! And you don't know me either, which brings up a couple of pertinent questions, ie:<p />
- What the hell are you doing on my site?<p />
- What on earth made you think that this was an appropriate platform for you to present your thoughts on SRA (or, really, anything for that matter)?<p />
- You've got your own site - why use mine?<p />
- And if you do insist on putting this ridiculous junk on my site, why would you expect me to do anything but mock it?

>What I mean by watered down hypocrisy is
>that people don’t take a stand for anything
>in this age

Had you bothered to check, even a cursory glance elsewhere through this site would show you that I take a stand for the things I believe in.

>Are you for Christ (good) or not? If not,
>then you are for evil and murder.

Steve, if you had any clue how much evil and murder has been perpetrated over the centuries (up to and including today) by people who "are for Christ", you'd realize that the situation isn't nearly as childishly simple as you believe. But be that as it may - given the alternative of your Christ and his petulant morality, I'll choose what your ilk would consider "evil" every time.

> ...your snarky dialogue only reveals
>immaturity and doesn’t answer why this
>has happened in my life. You’re not
>helping anyone who needs help with this.

Well, Steve, I sincerely apologize for that... as you know, my goal in setting up my personal website was to answer questions as to why various random things happened in your life, and I ... Wait, what the fuck am I talking about? When did it become my responsibility to sort out YOUR fucking life? Hey, we do appreciate your feedback though - if you hae any concerns, comments or complaints about this site, please feel free to direct them to that wall right over there.

>Why are you so bitter about the subject?
>Do you really have any personal experience
>with this issue, with abuse, SRA,
>generational idolatry, MPD, or treating
>people as a counselor?

Why are you so clueless about the nature of my site (and the internet in general)? What on earth would give you the idea that I have personal experience with any of these things? May I remind you that you're the wingnut who came out of the woodwork to raise these topics on my site?

>I have personal experience about this, and
>my goal is to help someone.

Which is why... you came... here...? Be sure to hit Slashdot next, or maybe Metafilter, in your continuing Michael-Landon-like quest to wander from site to site, helping people and generally sharing your overwhelming goodness.

>I could be far more condescending to you,
>with more passion, because of the intensity
>of my life experiences, but there is no
>winning that battle.

Oh, and so could I. Honest. I've been extraordinarily polite to you thus far. You're starting to get on my nerves now, though.

But for once you and I are in complete agreement, Steve - when it comes to either condescension, or passion, you would clearly *not* win that battle.

>I’m sick of the lies of
>the unjust. Stand for something real and
>grow up, mf.

You want me to stand for something real? How about my right to discuss what I choose - and not to discuss what I don't choose - on my own site? Is freedom of speech real enough for you? How about freedom of religion (or absence thereof)? Hey, here's one - how about freedom of being able to point and laugh at random fucknuts who stumble into the wrong site on the internet, especially when even a cursory examination of the rest of that site should demonstrate to anyone with a shred of intelligence that this is not an appropriate forum for the discussion of ritual abuse / alien abduction / the goodness of Christ or any other random thought that happens to flit through that echo chamber between your ears?

You may be sick of the lies of the unjust, Steve, but I promise you I'm considerably more sick of the utter, utter stupidity of the morally infantile who consider themselves "good".

Incidentally "mf" most commonly stands for "motherfucker", in case you were not aware, and I find it hilarious that an upright soldier of Jesus such as yourself would end your holier-than-thou tirade with such a raw epithet. But perhaps it's just a term of endearment in that isolated pocket of reality where you come from, so let me respond in kind - thanks for visiting my site, Steve, you mf! Stop by again anytime, mf! Have a great mf-ing day!

Why do you make fun of what I wrote? You don't even know me.

What I mean by watered down hypocrisy is that people don't take a stand for anything in this age....Are you for Christ (good) or not? If not, then you are for evil and murder. You can't be in the middle, like everyone is today.

SRA is a difficult subject and not one you can prove, but your snarky dialogue only reveals immaturity and doesn't answer why this has happened in my life. You're not helping anyone who needs help with this.

Why are you so bitter about the subject? Do you really have any personal experience with this issue, with abuse, SRA, generational idolatry, MPD, or treating people as a counselor?

I have personal experience about this, and my goal is to help someone. Your hardened denial, with the arrogant semblance of intelligence, doesn't accomplish anything. I could be far more condescending to you, with more passion, because of the intensity of my life experiences, but there is no winning that battle. I'm sick of the lies of the unjust.
SRA is a difficult subject and not one you can prove, but your snarky dialogue only reveals immaturity and doesn’t answer why this has happened in my life. You’re not helping anyone who needs help with this.

Why are you so bitter about the subject? Do you really have any personal experience with this issue, with abuse, SRA, generational idolatry, MPD, or treating people as a counselor?

I have personal experience about this, and my goal is to help someone. Your hardened denial, with the arrogant semblance of intelligence, doesn’t accomplish anything. I could be far more condescending to you, with more passion, because of the intensity of my life experiences, but there is no winning that battle. I’m sick of the lies of the unjust. Stand for something real and grow up, mf.
